Energy Group
The Ivybridge area now has its very own community energy society, South Dartmoor Community Energy (SDCE), which was officially registered with the Financial Conduct Authority on the 8th June 2016. The society has evolved out of the PL:21 energy group and is a community benefit society, with 7 volunteer Directors. (SDCE)
SDCE aims to help local people reduce their fuel bills through energy efficiency advice and initiatives and to develop renewable energy projects to reduce the local carbon footprint and fund further community projects.
SDCE Launch Warm and Well Project
This autumn and winter Sophie and Katie from SDCE are out and about across the South Hams delivering free and impartial advice to residents at a series of drop in advice sessions. To find out where they are going to be please visit www.sdce.org .uk
They can also provide talks to community groups, home visits to house bound residents and can attend community events.
