Take Action for Hedgehogs
Hedgehogs are struggling. Their numbers have been declining - down by 30% in just over ten years. The good news is that there is plenty you can do to help by making a safe and friendly environment for hedgehogs in your gardens. By raising awareness in the community and coming together with your neighbors to create a network of hedgehog highways. Together we can make make a big difference
Pledge 1 - Make a Hedgehog Home
You can help by providing a hedgehog friendly area in the garden with a safe hibernation and nesting area.
Making a hedgehog a home is easy. Here are some ideas:
Visit Hedgehog Street for ideas on creating a natural space for hedgehogs to hide, nest or hibernate in.
Or you could make a Simple Hedgehog Box from an old plastic storage container.

Pledge 2 - Make a Hedgehog Highway
Hedgehogs can travel a mile or more at night in search of food. Why not talk to your neighbours about making a gap in fences, or a tunnel to give them easy access.
