Sustainable Energy Fair
Saturday 19th March, 10am-1pm
The Watermark, Ivybridge
Over 50 local residents popped into the Watermark on Saturday morning to speak to local renewable energy installers and to find out how to save energy, water and money in their homes.
Citizens Advice and Plymouth Energy Community gave advice on how to reduce fuel bills and local community energy projects explained how they’re developing renewable energy schemes that local people can invest in.
The Fair was also a chance to tell everyone about our exciting new venture, which will see members of PL:21 setting up our own Community Benefit Society, to be called South Dartmoor Community Energy Ltd. This new society will develop renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in the local area and will work closely with neighbouring energy groups to help make South Devon more self reliant for energy.
PL:21 would like to thank the Ivybridge Town Crier, the staff in the Watermark and all of our exhibitors and helpers for making the Fair a success.
